We address the need of partners, universities and communities, to establish a closer and more collaborative relationship between academics and CSOs, to connected to the social reality through SL projects that have an international multidisciplinary approach.
To facilitate more effective collaboration in stronger, long-term partnerships, the project responds to the need for assistance with identifying relevant partners and social needs compatible with students’ academic learning goals. Poor communication and lack of knowledge or resources can induce delays in such a complex ecosystem. At the same time, different experience levels and understanding of SL as an innovative approach in HE, require a space where students, academics and CSOs alike get support for learning about, creating and implementing together such projects.
We want to respond to distinct challenges academics and CSOs face in terms of designing and collaborating for the implementation of SL projects, while students struggle to connect academic knowledge with real-world applications or have no clear pathway for civic engagement.
